The LGBTQ Liaison Unit is a unit of the Atlanta Police Department whose goal is to improve the relationship between the LGBTQ community and the Atlanta Police Department.

The role of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department LGBTQ liaisons is to provide training across AFRD related to gender identity and expression, affirmation and support of LGBTQ employees and their families, community outreach and working with residents for emergency preparedness and crisis management.

The Corrections LGBTQ liaison serves as a welcoming body to LGBTQ detainees with minor offenses, especially trans individuals, at the Atlanta City Detention Center.
